Chetumal, Q.R. — While elements of the National Guard may not have caught their man, they did get their drugs. On Wednesday night, two men managed to escape National Guard agents on foot after being stopped in a vehicle.
The two men ran off during a traffic check stop in the state’s capital city of Chetumal. They were stopped in their vehicle along Avenida Oaxaca that leads to the city’s airport. Once stopped, the pair took off running toward Chetumal Bay where police lost track of them.
While fleeing, they ditched a sack that was located by pursuing agents. Inside the bag was five bricks of cocaine.
