Puerto Aventuras, Q.R. — A man died Thursday afternoon in Puerto Aventuras after he apparently tripped and fell while running.
Witnesses say the man, who is around 30, was a construction worker. He was seen running down a sidewalk in the Puerto Maya subdivision in a pair of rubber boots when he tripped and fell, landing face down.
Puerto Aventuras police of Solidaridad were accompanied to the accident site by elements of the National Guard. The man was found deceased when authorities arrived. Members of the forensic services were called to remove the body.
Police cordoned off the area to begin their investigation. The young man has not been identified.
