Feds seize 830 kilos of cocaine found stashed in warehouse

Mexico City, Mexico — Vehicles, guns and 830 kilos of cocaine have been seized by the National Defense Secretariat after the drugs were discovered in a warehouse. Authorities say they located the stash in the municipality of Nezahualcóyotl in the state of Mexico.

In a statement, the agency reported the discovery was made February 4 and involved the Mexican Army, Specialized Drug Unit and police. The seizure of the warehouse and its contents was made after a search warrant was issued due to investigative work.

Inside the warehouse, authorities found 830 kilos of cocaine, 15 firearms and approximately $1,500 USD. They also seized five vehicles found on the property. Two of the seized vehicles were discovered with hidden compartments filled with bricks of cocaine. There were no arrests detailed in the statement.
