Xcalak, Q.R. — A military vehicle ended up overturned Saturday after a failure in its brakes. Navy personnel inside the vehicle found themselves ditched after the vehicle failed to stop while traveling the federal highway.
Emergency responders were at the Saturday scene outside the Costa Maya town of Xcalak after receiving 9-1-1 calls. There, they located the overturned Navy truck and its occupants, none of whom required hospitalization.
The incident occurred when the driver, who was operating a gray tanker transporting water, lost control of the vehicle upon reaching the entrance to Xcalak. Material damage to the truck was considerable.
State Traffic Police responded to witness 9-1-1 calls of the accident. Navy personnel traveling inside the vehicle were evaluated by paramedics and treated at the scene for minor bumps and bruises.
