Felipe Carrillo Puerto, Q.R. — National Guard have arrested three armed men believed related to ongoing criminal events. Their arrests were made during the early morning hours of Thursday in an irregular residential area.
The three unidentified males were taken into legal custody after being found transporting drugs in the town of Los Planes. Patrolling National Guard found the armed trio who have since handed them over to the State Attorney General’s Office.
All three are being investigated for their possible involvement in high-crime acts that have occurred in the Mayan Zone.
The municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto has recently become a dumping ground for bodies. Due to its easy access by four municipal roadways, criminal gangs have been leaving executed bodies in various areas of the municipality.
