Bacalar, Q.R. — The driver of a compact car overturned and landed her vehicle in highway overgrowth outside a Bacalar construction site. Paramedics arrived at the scene of the rollover to treat the driver and two passengers.
All three were able to walk away, being treated for minor injuries on scene. Highway police were at the accident site where they were told the driver lost control of the car after a highway flagger failed to alert her in time to a speed reduction in a construction area.
Once realizing she was upon a construction zone, she attempted to brake quickly but instead, lost control and rolled her car. Bacalar Highway Division was left to determine who was at fault.
