Chetumal, Q.R. — A woman who was picked up by a group of men in an SUV Monday has been released. Lucelmy N was dropped off by the group of men in a secluded area of Chetumal after being abducted for nearly 24 hours.
While driving her vehicle early Monday morning, she was intercepted and forcefully removed from her own car. From there, she was driven away in another vehicle, which was the last time anyone heard from her.
Witnesses to the daylight abduction made the report to police, who began a search for her, but without luck. It wasn’t until nearly 24 hours later that she appeared barefoot at her home.
She told police that she had been physically assaulted and also told authorities that the men kidnapped her to force her to sell drugs from her business.
