Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Two armed individuals forcibly drove off with an SUV that was filling with gasoline at a Playa del Carmen station.
The theft happened at a station along Playa del Carmen Boulevard when two subjects forced those from inside the vehicle to get out. Initially, both men attempted to open the passenger door, however, it was locked, so they both rushed the driver’s side, forcing out its occupants.
The vehicle was allegedly found near Plaza Las Américas. Although there were no injuries reported in this incident, another an armed attack was reported on 48th Street with 40 in the Colosio neighborhood with two injured.
There is no official word on whether these events have any relation to the gas station vehicle theft.
