Tulum, Q.R. — A small cargo truck overturned near an intersection after colliding with a Tulum taxi. The accident happened Thursday morning when the cargo truck and taxi slammed into each other at a marked intersection on Geminis Street.
According to preliminary information, the driver of the small truck failed to stop at the marked intersection. As he passed through, he met the taxi. The hit caused the truck to fall onto its side, spilling a load of lumber.
Since the truck landed on its driver’s side, the driver had to get out through the passenger’s side window. Transit police were sent after witnesses reported the accident to 911. An ambulance arrived, however, neither driver was injured.
