Tulum taxi driver crashes unit in attempt to flee hit and run

Tulum, Q.R. — A Tulum taxi driver who collided with a motorcycle fled the scene, leaving a man with a broken leg. But not before crashing his own car. The accident happened when a man on a motorcycle was hit by the Tulum taxi driver.

The man had just left work from a nearby hotel and was heading toward the federal highway when his bike was stuck by the taxi. The hotel worker, 35-year-old Hugo N from Chiapas, was assisted by paramedics and transferred to hospital with a broken leg.

In his attempt to flee, the driver of the taxi ended up crashing his own unit. It was located by police. It had been abandoned in vegetation along the side of the road.
