Tulum, Q.R. — Passing motorists reported seeing a dead man slumped over on the side of the highway Thursday. It was just before 7:00 a.m. when municipal police of Tulum were made aware of the dead body.
A man in shorts and a t-shirt was found in a slumped over position off the highway shoulder in full view of passing motorists. He was partially face down in highway vegetation when found by police. He was handcuffed and reportedly shot once in the head.
His body was located on a section of the Tulum-Akumal highway. He is reported to have been around 30 years of age. Police have not identified him.
