Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A Playa del Carmen taxi driver was killed after colliding with a CFE pole. The accident happened the night of December 24, when the taxi driver slammed into a CFE post on Benito Juárez Avenue.
Police, firemen and paramedics arrived in the Bellavista neighborhood around 10:40 p.m. where they located the heavily damaged taxi. The car was found with significant damage and its driver, deceased.
The accident is said to have occurred due to speed, which caused the car to roll before hitting the concrete pole.
