Police respond to toppled ice truck accident in José María Morelos

José María Morelos, Q.R. — Highway motorists lead police to the scene of a toppled ice truck in José María Morelos over the weekend. However, when they arrived, they found the company unit abandoned.

The refridgerator truck was found by police heavily damaged laying on its side Friday afternoon. Highway 184 drivers made the police report of the accident. By the time police, the driver was long gone.

The accident was reported at 4:50 p.m. which triggered emergency bodies to the scene. On site, police and paramedics found only a company truck filled with melting bags of ice. They were tasked with up-righting the unit and having it towed.

The company refrigerator truck was traveling from the municipality of Felipe Carrillo Puerto to several mini supermarkets in the municipality of José María Morelos at the time of the accident.

There was no indication how the driver managed to topple the truck. The company truck owner will have to make claim from the corral.
