Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A Playa del Carmen taxi driver found in possession of narcotics was detained from the city’s Misión de las Flores area. On Thursday, police arrested the 43-year-old taxi driver after he attempted to elude authorities.
Police began chase of the Playa del Carmen taxi at an intersection on Constituyentes Avenue. He was intercepted and searched after being stopped on Flor del Cardo Street.
A narcotics police dog marked him positive for drugs. On his person, police found 14 doses of narcotics that included powdered cocaine and crack cocaine. The detained, David N, was handcuffed and transferred to police facilities. His drugs and vehicle were seized.
