Cancun, Q.R. — Two men who fired their weapon at Cancun police Monday eventually found themselves in handcuffs. The pair were arrested from SM 202 on attempted murder charges after opening fire against pursuing officers.
The exchange of gunfire took place in the streets of the Costa Azul subdivision when police arrived in response to the report of armed men. The armed pair were found driving a Spark car in the area, which lead to the chase during which time, Cancun police were fired upon several times.
Cancun officers eventually intercepted their car and removed Gilberto N from Veracruz and Francisco N from Guerrero, both 32, from the car and placed them under arrest.
