Cancun, Q.R. — Two men who allegedly shot another in SM 253 have been arrested. The pair were taken into police custody after area residents reported the sound of gunfire.
Officers responding to the report arrived to find one man laying on the ground. He had been shot. A young man at the scene identified himself as the nephew of the shot man and was able to provide police with details of the shooters.
He told police that he was riding a motorcycle with his uncle when two men from inside a vehicle intercepted them. One of the men shot his uncle twice before taking his backpack. Both then fled.
Using details provided, police located the described vehicle, which was still in the area. From inside, 46-year-old Cruz N and 24-year-old Miguel N were arrested on drug and homicide charges.
