Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A man was taken into police custody in the municipality of Solidaridad after a narcotics dog marked him positive for drugs. The arrest was made at a vehicle security filter when the man attempted to enter Solidaridad from the municipality of Tulum.
The man, who was traveling in a public combi, was searched after the K-9 marked him as positive for drug possession. Municipal Police proceeded to inspect the man, which is when they found his backpack filled with bags of marijuana.
Police proceeded to remove the man from the public transport unit and arrest him while seizing his three large bags of marijuana and pink backpack.
