Cozumel, Q.R. — Patrolling military officers found 65 kilos of cocaine washed up on a Cozumel beach. The packaged cocaine was found on the same day during two separate patrols.
The narcotics were found in restricted and difficult-to-access areas of the island of Cozumel during patrols on the coastal zone. The packages were collected after becoming entangled in washed up sargassum.
Authorities did not say exactly where on the island the drugs were found, only that the most important thing “is that the poisoning of our youth is avoided in Mexico”.
