Mexico City, Mexico — A person of Mexican nationality required by the Federal District Court of Columbia has been extradited. On Friday, Raúl “R” was returned to the U.S. by federal agents to face criminal charges.
Between 2006 and 2007, Raúl “R”, as a member of a criminal organization, trafficked large quantities of cocaine and marijuana from Mexico to the United States. He was arrested in June of this year in Reynosa, Tamaulipas.
He has been held since his arrest for extradition purposes. In a statement, the State Attorney of the Republic (FGR), reported his extradition. He was handed over to U.S. federal agents at the Mexico City International Airport from where he was returned to the U.S.
