Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The Attorney General of the State of Quintana Roo reports that prosecutors were successful in linking Vicente H to the crime of attempted homicide of an unidentified woman. The FGE says the events occurred August 17 in a home on 88th Street in the Luis Donaldo Colosio neighborhood of Playa del Carmen where the accused allegedly injured a woman, who was his girlfriend, with a knife in addition to physically assaulting her.
After the attack, the victim was transferred to hospital for medical attention.
The defendant was detained on August 19 by investigating police on Jacinto Pat Street at Villamar 1 neighborhood in Playa del Carmen. Prosecutors for Crimes against Women presented their evidence before a judge and were successful in having Vicente H kept in detainment during his trial.
