Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Over the weekend, the discovery of a human head was reported to police from the residential area of 28 de Julio. Later in the same day, another report was received, this time of a human torso.
Both discoveries were made on Saturday in two different areas of Playa del Carmen. The human head was reportadly found in a cooler by residents of Nueva Creación Saturday morning around 6: 35 a.m.
It was Saturday afternoon around 2:00 p.m. when police received a separate second report of human remains. The second report, which was of a human torso, was made Saturday afternoon in a different, but nearby area.
The torso is believed to belong to the head found earlier in the day.
Forensic Medical Service (Semefo) personnel were called in on both occasions.
