Cancun, Q.R. — A former Cancun police officer has died after being shot twice. The 29-year-old former officer identified as Fabian “U”, was rushed to hospital but pronounced dead shortly after arriving.
The shooting happened Saturday evening when he was leaving an outdoor tianguis in SM 218. He was reportedly shot twice by a lone gunman. One bullet hit him in the head and the other in his chest.
He was rushed to hospital by his father. He was pronounced moments after arriving. Reports say he was a former Cancun Ministerial Police officer. Cancun authorities have not made any public comment on the shooting.
