Cancun, Q.R. — The bodies of five adults were found inside a portable water container over the weekend. On Saturday, an resident of Alfredo V. Bonfil in SM 308 of Cancun made the discovery.
The initial 911 report that was called in said there was one dead person inside the cistern, however, when police arrived, they realized there was more than one person inside.
The bodies were found inside the large exterior cistern (home water tank) on an abandoned lot. It had been filled with water. Cancun firefighters were requested to assist in the draining of the cistern so authorities could remove the bodies from inside.
Neither the state’s FGE or Cancun Police have made any public statement on the finding.
