Cancun, Q.R. — A bar believed related to an attack on a local man last week has been shut down. On Thursday night, police entered the unnamed establishment in the Cancun Hotel Zone where staff were gathered and searched as part of the legal search warrant that was issued to authorities.
The Quintana Roo State Attorney General’s Office reported the search and subsequent closure of the bar on Thursday night. In their press release, they said all 30 of the club’s staff were transferred to their facilities for processing as part of their ongoing investigation.
On August 8, a man identified as B.Y.M. was found abandoned in a green area of the Villas Otoch Paraíso subdivision in SM 246 of Cancun. He was dumped off by a taxi driver. He was found by area residents with signs of a physical assault that included blows and burns.
