Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A taxi driver belonging to Lázaro Cárdenas del Río managed to topple her unit onto its side Thursday night in the Villas del Sol neighborhood of Playa del Carmen. The taxi ended up on its side after the driver failed a speedy U-turn.
Residents who witnessed the incident said the driver took the attempted U-turn with too much speed, causing her to crash into a parked car which overturned hers.
Police officers were called to the scene where they proceeded to arrest her after she was evaluated by paramedics and found without injuries. Police reported damages of around 80,000 peso.
