Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A two car highway accident south of Playa del Carmen left at least two hospitalized. On Saturday, an invading vehicle is reported to have caused both to collide at highway speed.
The two people from inside one of the cars were transferred to hospital after veering in an attempt to avoid a head on crash. Both cars ended up ditched. According to local reports, the driver responsible for invading the lane fled after ditching his own car.
The injured from inside one of the cars reportedly belonged to government officials who were returning from Chetumal after a meeting with the Governor.
