Cancun, Q.R. — A Cancun motorcycle driver was killed late Sunday after being hit by a bus. The fatal accident happened around 11:00 p.m. on Colosio Boulevard.
First reports indicate that the motorcyclist was traveling in the buffer zone (shoulder) when he was hit by the bus. Reports say the driver of the bus was in the process of turning into a side street when the unit collided with the motorcycle.
The 30-year-old driver of the motorcycle was thrown to the pavement. He was found laying several meters from his bike where paramedics pronounced him dead.
The bus driver was arrested from the scene and transferred to the Public Ministry.
