La Paz, Baja California — A boat that slammed into a whale at high speed is being investigated. The investigation began Friday after video went public of the speeding boat hitting the whale.
Impact from the collision caused one person from inside the boat to be thrown out. Six people, including three minors, were injured.
Two adults from the boat were hospitalized for undisclosed injuries. A third adult was transferred to a clinic for medical attention.
Over the weekend, Civil Protection of Baja California released the video of the Friday afternoon incident that shows the boat speeding through the water before hitting the whale. Authorities did not comment an any search for the possibly injured whale.
