Cancun, Q.R. — The driver of a tow truck has died after the vehicle he was driving hit a metal pole, crushing the front of his truck.
The accident was recorded around 7:00 a.m. on Avenida José López Portillo in the Cancun suburbs when the driver of the flatbed tow truck, who was loaded with a damaged car, hit the pole at excessive speed.
The tow truck was leaving the city of Cancun and heading toward Mérida when he lost control and smashed into the metal post. Members of the Cancun fire department were called to the scene to help remove the body from the twisted metal.
Inside was an unidentified 21-year-old male driver from the Gruas Abimerhi tow truck company.
