Cancun firemen rescue senior who spent three days at bottom of ravine

Cancun, Q.R. — A senior citizen was rescued from a ravine after spending at least three days trapped at the bottom. On Friday, a rescue team from Cancun participated in the operation that ended with the rescue of 64-year-old Manuel “N”.

Cancun firemen and paramedics were part of the team that responded to the call for assistance after patrolling police officers in SM 6 heard the man crying for help. It was 11:00 a.m. when the call was made to emergency 911 who sent a team to rescue him.

While doing so, he told his rescuers that he accidentally fell in the ravine and had been stuck there for three days. Firemen used a ladder to reach the man who was placed on a stretcher and lifted to the surface from where he was transferred to hospital.
