Cancun firemen cut passenger free after car slams into back of utility truck

Cancun, Q.R. — Cancun firemen were requested at the scene of an early morning accident to free a trapped female passenger. The passenger of the car became stuck in the front after the car she was riding in collided with the back of a large utility truck.

The front passenger’s side of the engine was pushed inward while a piece of metal from the rear of the truck broke through the passenger side windshield. After being cut out of the car, she was rushed to a Cancun hospital in serious condition.

The accident happened around 8:00 a.m. in SM 260 of Cancun near the residential area of Real Valencia.

Transit elements were in charge of towing both units to a city corralón. Information as to how the accident occurred were not provided. It is also not known if the utility truck was parked or slow moving at the time of the crash.
