Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — At least seven people were arrested Thursday morning in two operations to prevent separate land invasion attempts. Several men were arrested around 8:00 a.m. near the Balí subdivision for attempting to invade private land.
A couple of hours later, the military were involved in detaining a second group for organizing an invasion of ejido lands. Seven people were arrested from that plot of land on charges of dispossession.
Personnel from the State Attorney General’s Office cordoned off both areas and arrested those involved.
