Santiago, Nuevo Leon — A drug factory in the state of Nuevo Leon has been dismantled by authorities. Elements of the Federal Ministerial Police (PFM) and the Criminal Investigation Agency (AIC) dismantled a drug lab where cocaine and amphetamine were being manufactured.
The lab was discovered during a search in the municipality of Santiago after a man, Luis “S”, was arrested on October 20 with 15 kilos of narcotics. During his legal process, he informed authorities on the drug lab located inside a warehouse along the La Cortina highway.
At the scene, 34.5 kilos of powdered cocaine and 4.9 kilos of amphetamine were seized, in addition to objects used to manufacture the drugs and the pallets used to transport them. Authorities also seized two vehicles and tactical equipment from the property.
