Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — Police in Puerto Morelos have taken a man into custody after he robbed a person outside a branch of Bancomer bank.
Commander Gumercindo Jiménez Cuervo of Seguridad Pública y Tránsito explained that after the report of the robbery, a joint operation was deployed with the Policía Militar, which led to the arrest of one male alleged responsible for the robbery.
Jiménez Cuervo says that 39-year-old L.J.B.A of Venezuela was arrested. On his person, police found a Venezuelan passport valid until 2021, as well as 20 bank cards from varying banks across the country, none of which, were found to be in his name.
The detainee was turned over to the corresponding authorities for further criminal activity investigations. The person robbed outside the Bancomer branch did file an official complaint.
