Cancun, Q.R. — A 16 year old girl who was shot inside a Cancun apartment Thursday died before an ambulance arrived. The unidentified girl was hit by a bullet after men entered the home and opened fire against a male who was inside.
The shooting was reported to authorities by apartment building residents who said at least three shots were fired. Police arrived at the apartment building in Cielo Nuevo in SM 249 where they found two people with firearm injuries.
The teenaged girl died before an ambulance arrived. The male victim, who is also reported to be in his teens, was hit in the abdomen and leg. He was transferred to Cancun hospital. Suspects in the shooting were not located. Police have not released information as to how the pair were related.
