Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — Two people were treated for injuries in a single-vehicle accident in Puerto Morelos. The driver of the cargo truck was on a side road entering Puerto Morelos when he lost control.
The unit toppled onto its side and skidded for several meters before coming to a stop. At least one municipal pole was damaged in the accident. Two people from inside the cab of the cargo truck were injured.
The accident happened Wednesday morning near the Ruta de los Cenotes intersection after a rain. The side lane was left blocked due to the overturned truck. Puerto Morelos traffic was affected in the direction toward Cancun.
Paramedics and firemen responded to the accident. Firemen were tasked with removing the metal pole that was knocked down during the accident.
