Cancun, Q.R. — A semi transporting heavy machinery pulled down a set of tension cables on one of the access bridges to the Cancun international Airport. Traffic at the exit point was affected while officials arrived to untangle the truck.
The municipal transit office explained that the Cancun International Airport bridge was closed and that traffic was diverted to the nearest returns for several hours, while officials worked on the situation.
The incident happened on the bridge around 8:00 a.m. Friday when the semi driver attempted to pass over the bridge. In doing so, his load managed to catch on the overhead wires, pulling them down.
