Tulum, Q.R. — Authorities continue their search for the shooter after a man was shot in central Tulum. The shooting happened Tuesday afternoon in the Centro area when a man was reportedly shot for resisting an assault.
The Argentinian man was shot in his right leg during an attempted robbery. The incident happened around 2:00 p.m. Police responding to the emergency 911 report arrived at the scene on Cobá Avenue between Polar and Sagitario Streets where they found the victim laying on the ground.
Agents from the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) arrived after the report of the shot male who was allegedly hit by the bullet for resisting a daytime mugging. Paramedics transferred the unnamed 35-year-old man to local hospital for treatment.
Authorities continue to work to identify and arrest those responsible.
