Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — Municipal police agents made an unusual seizure Tuesday after finding a weapon and drug stash but no owner. Patrolling officers found the abandoned items in an area along Fifth Avenue.
Included in their find was 86 street bags of various narcotics along with a loaded handgun. The stash was located on Fifth Avenue between 10th and 12th streets. The narcotics seized from the site included marijuana, cocaine, crystal meth and LSD, among others, as well as a loaded handgun, ammo and a communication radio.
Since the items were found abandoned, there were no coinciding arrests.
