Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — A member of the Police of Quintana Roo was taken to hospital with injuries after the vehicle he was driving smashed into a concrete wall.
The accident happened along 10th Avenue in the city’s center when the lane of the police unit was invaded by car. The police patrol said that the driver of the other vehicle failed to respect a stop sign, which caused him to invade the officer’s lane, sending him into a concrete wall.
The driver of the police unit was transferred to the Playa del Carmen General Hospital by ambulance. The case has been turned over to la Fiscalía General del Estado (FGE).
