Playa del Carmen, Q.R. — The driver who destroyed the front end of a car left it abandoned in a lane of Playa del Carmen Boulevard early Monday morning. The vehicle was found with its entire front end smashed in.
The locally plated car was located around 1:30 a.m. and appears to have collided with a retaining wall at the base of an overpass.
Police were sent to the scene to deal with the crunched up vehicle to avoid it causing an accident since it was just left in the middle of the road. Police stayed with the vehicle until a tow truck arrived.
