Puerto Morelos, Q.R. — A woman was found dead inside a rolled car Saturday night after a single vehicle crash. Emergency services were called to the highway accident site around 10:30 p.m. after motorist reports.
National Guard from the Cancun highway division arrived along with police and medical. Two people from inside the crumpled car were found with serious injuries. The deceased woman was the front seat passenger.
According to early information, the driver had left Puerto Morelos bound for Cancun when they lost control and rolled. There were three people inside the car at the time of the incident. The driver and backseat passenger were taken to Cancun hospital.
The unidentified front seat passenger was killed. Firemen were requested at the scene to cut her free from the wreckage. Authorities did not provide an official cause for the accident.
