Navy rescues four off north end of Cozumel

Cozumel, Q.R. — Four people were returned to the island of Cozumel after being found adrift by navy personnel. In a statement, the Sector Naval de la Secretaría de Marina–Armada de México reported finding the four crew adrift in vessel Luz de Mar approximately 20 nautical miles (37 kilometers) north of the island of Cozumel.

The two Mexican and two American national crew members were transported back to land after requesting help when their boat experienced engine failure. They were returned to the Marina Banco Playa in Cozumel where Naval Health personnel carried out a corresponding medical evaluation, reporting them to be in good health.
