Narcotics dog sniffs out 32 kilos of pot bound for Cancun

Cancun, Q.R. — Two boxes of marijuana were detected at the Cancun International Airport Tuesday by an on-site narcotics dog that discovered them in the arriving shipment of a courier company.

With a total weight of 32 kilos, the two boxes became of special interest to the specially trained dog who alerted police to the presence of drugs. Upon inspection, federal police reported that with the aid of their canine unit, the incoming parcel from Mexico City was found containing the marijuana.

The boxes, which had a final destination of Cancun, were seized and are being held for investigation by the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
