Narcotics dog detects drug box bound for Cancun

Cancun, Q.R. — More than 13 kilos of marijuana were seized by elements of the Federal Police from a parcel company in Cancun after a dog detected the smell of drugs.

According to the Federal Police, the assurance was made thanks to the help of a canine narcotics dog at a parcel company on José López Portillo Avenue in Cancun where it flagged one cardboard box.

Inside, police found 13.6 kilos of marijuana. The box had arrived at the parcel station from Mazatlan, Sinaloa with a destination address for Cancún. Police prepared the box and its contents, which were delivered to the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Cancun.
