Cancun, Q.R. — A former police officer with the city of Cancun was attacked outside his home Thursday night.
The former police agent who has been identified as 30-year-old Jorge F.C., was shot while sitting in his vehicle outside his home in the residential subdivision of La Joya in SM 254. The attack occurred Thursday night around 9:30 when Emergency 911 received the report of gunfire.
Jorge was transferred to the General Hospital of Cancun.
The men responsible fled in a blue Nissan, however, a police search resulted in the arrest of the two in SM 253. Upon their arrest, two weapons were seized.
This is the second attempt on the life of the former officer with the first being on December 30 when he was shot at while driving along Yaxchilán Avenue in Cancun.
