Cancun, Q.R. — Two store employees were taken into police custody Tuesday after a failed attempt to steal a safe. The pair were captured around 7:00 a.m. attempting to rob the store’s safe.
The pair were caught red-handed by other staff who began arriving for work Tuesday morning at the SM 248 location. They walked in to witness two of their fellow coworkers trying to break the safe with a hammer and chisel.
Other employees called 911 who sent police who located the two employees along with the hammer and chisel allegedly used. Both were arrested and transferred to the Public Ministry for attempted robbery.
