Criminal leader extradited to California from Mexican prison

Mexico City, Mexico — A man wanted in a California court on drug and criminal organization charges has been extradited from Mexico. On Wednesday, Edgar “H” was turned over to American federal agents at the Toluca International Airport where he was transferred to the U.S.

According to a report by the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR), Edgar “H” has been identified as one of the leaders of a criminal drug trafficking organization. He is believed responsible for importing large amounts of methamphetamine and heroin from Mexico to the United States.

He was extradited from the Federal Center for Social Readaptation prison of Michoacán where he was being held. U.S. agents met Mexican agents at the Toluca airport for the extradition.
