Cozumel, Q.R. — The driver of a motorcycle is lucky to be alive after his bike was dragged under an SUV. Early Sunday morning, the two crossed paths in downtown Cozumel.
The SUV hit the motorcycle on 15th Avenue after allegedly running a red light. At that moment, the driver of the bike bailed, jumping off in time before his bike became wedged under the SUV.
According to early reports, the driver of the SUV dragged the bike for several blocks before finally abandoning it on First Street South. Transit Police located the SUV and heavily damaged motorcycle wedged underneath after the 2:00 a.m. accident. Both were towed while police search for the driver of the SUV.
