Cooler found in Tulum does not contain remains says Capella

Tulum, Q.R. — A cooler with a lid found discarded by an ADO bus stop in Tulum does not contain human remains, says secretario de Seguridad Pública, Jesús Alberto Capella who condemns local media for spreading the false report.

A small cooler that was found left at an ADO bus stop in Tulum turned out to be empty, however on top was a message written on thin orange cardboard. The presence of the cooler generated a buzz with police taking it seriously, arriving to tape off the area and investigate.

Some local media have reported that a cooler containing human remains was found near the Archaeological Zone of Tulum, a claim Alberto Capella says is completely false.

Both Municipal and Ministerial Police spent about one hour processing the scene before removing the cooler.
